please let us know. Get a few friends together to take the class,
and we will usually be able to hold the class.

In consideration of the instructor and your fellow students, please do not bring children, pets or cell phones to class. We also request than no perfume is worn in consideration of those who are sensitive to frangrances.

Mastering Classes


Machine Mastering Part 1 Get acquainted with your new machine—cleaning, threading, basic and practical stitches and feet. You will begin to learn some basic sewing techniques used frequently such as repairs and hems. SUPPLY LIST	MM 2 Continue learning more about your machine as you put its special features to use. SUPPLY LIST	MM 3 Using your class samples from MM 1 and 2, you will make a sampler. You'll also learn about free motion quilting and threadplay, using the Bernina Stitch Regulator. SUPPLY LIST


MM 4 Using the functions and memory in your machine, you will develop decorative stitch patterns. Directional sewing will also be covered. SUPPLY LIST	Mastering Embroidery Part 1 Introduction to the embroidery world of stabilizers, threads and designs as you begin to learn how to use this part of your machine. SUPPLY LIST	ME 2 You will work with the combining and altering of embroidery designs and lettering. SUPPLY LIST


ME 3 Begin to understand more about needles, threads and stabilizers. You will embroider on knits and napped fabrics. SUPPLY LIST	ME 4 Explore the combining of designs and multi-hooping. SUPPLY LIST	ME 5 Learn to use the mega hoop and review the border software. SUPPLY LIST


Mastering Your Deco Deco mastering classes are for our customers who have purchased a Deco Embroidery Machine. You will learn the basics of using your machine and different stabilizers, etc., to make the best use of your machine.	Mastering Your Serger This class is free if you purchased your serger at Becky's Fabrics & Bernina. You'll learn the basics of threading and operating your new serger. Mastering Your Bernina Software Familiarize yourself with the features of the Bernina Embroidery Software. This class is free if you purchased Editor Lite, Editor or Designer Plus software from Becky's Fabrics & Bernina. Your ability to do all the exercises will depend on your level of software. Embroidery Club Designed to help you learn YOUR embroidery machine, club members will stitch out an embroidered design and complete a project each month. You will learn about the importance of proper hooping and stabilizing. ALL machine brands are welcome. Beginner	Bernina Club The educational fun continues, as you watch and learn from the experts at Bernina. Special prices on the featured feet and accessories will be offered to those who attend the live, internet training. Beginner	Ladies Night Out $6/Night Leave the kids, husband and cooking at home! Enjoy four hours of uninterrupted sewing time. Bring your current projects to work on--we'll provide the pizza!

Software Sampler Bernina's live Software Sampler webcast will start at 11:00 am; you'll learn from the experts at Bernina. At the end of the webinar training, you may choose to stay and stitch out the project on your machine with assistance.

Invisible Machine Appliqué $35 Join us in learning a new machine appliqué technique as you make this stunning 24" block. You'll learn tips on accurate piecing and all aspects of invisible machine appliqué. Shelley will also cover design layout as you learn to use your sewing machine to achieve finished appliqués that look hand-stitched. Confident Beginner	Learn to Quilt $45 + book In this 2-part class, you will experience the many steps of quilt-making: rotary cutting, accurate strip piecing, adding borders, machine quilting, and applying binding. Heirloom Techniques Marijean $35 + Kit Heirloom sewing is surprisingly easy and the techniques can be used in many ways. You'll start with the basics, and your practice pieces can then become a sampler or crib quilt. In the fall, we will schedule part 2 of this class. For more pics, click here. Confident Beginner	Learn to Garment Sew Lynette $36 + Pattern Learn the basics of garment sewing, starting with the pattern. You will be measuring, cutting and sewing a pair of elastic-waist shorts in this class that is designed for the very-beginner seamstress. Lynette welcomes all students, ages 12 years old through 92 years young. Beginner	Make an Apron! $15 + $15 Kit This super simple apron is perfect for those of you who are just learning to sew! The kit includes the pattern and all supplies, including your choice of fabric. You can bring your machine, or use one of ours. It will be a fun time! Beginner


Serged Napkins Marijean • $18 Learn how to use the "flat lock" and "roll hemming" features on your serger. You'll make a set of "Go Green" cloth napkins that will be used and re-used for years to come! Beginner	Log Cabin $20 + book The Log Cabin pattern is one of the most traditional. Using the Eleanor Burns method, Lori will help you make a family heirloom. It's really quite easy. Come see the beautiful sample Lori has made. Confident Beginner	Free Motion Machine Quilting Earlinia $30 + book Make this pretty sunflower table runner/wall hanging using the techniques from Bodacious Appliqué. While this is a machine quilting class, you'll also learn machine appliqué, fabric coloring and thread-painting. That's a whole lot of learning crammed into one fun class! Intermediate


Embroidery Camp $75 This is our third Embroidery Camp...this one will be just as fun, and educational as the last two! We're shaking things up a bit, by letting you know in advance that your finished project will be a bag. But not just any bag...yours will have embroidered panels and decorated handles. And you will make essential items to go in your bag. Lunch will be provided on Sat. and Sun., plus snacks and door prizes...it will be great fun. Again! Beginner	Christmas Celebration Tree Skirt Sharon $40 + pattern In this 2-part class, you will make a beautiful heirloom tree skirt, using Judy Niemeyer's paper-piecing pattern. Or, if you prefer, it could be a round table cover. Come in to see Sharon's amazing sample! Intermediate/Advanced	Charming Log Cabin Leslie $25 + pattern Fast and Fun! Let Leslie show you how one traditional block, made in an untraditional way is sized just right for a crib or lap quilt! Come see her pretty sample...kits are available! Confident Beginner


Kid's Class: Embroidered Pillowcase $15 + $15 Kit A great and easy project for kids! You'll machine-embroider on the cuff of the pillowcase, and then sew it together. The kit fee includes all supplies, including the use of our Bernina sewing machines. Beginner	Chain of Events $30 + pattern This super easy pattern uses all straight lines to create circles. Flying geese, bias rectangles, and half-square triangles are all pieced with ease! Beginner

Register early to ensure your space in class - the class fee is required to confirm registration.
Phone registrations are taken, but this does not guarantee your space until the class fee is received.
If classes are not filled three days prior to class time, they will be cancelled or rescheduled.
Notify Becky's Fabrics at least one week in advance if you are not able to attend a class and we will gladly issue a credit or refund. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after this time.
PLEASE, no children or babies in class.
Stop by Becky's Fabrics for a complete supply list for each class.
Check the supply list or pattern directions to see if you should pre-wash fabric. If necessary, fabric must be pre-washed before class. This shrinks the fabric for excellence in future washings.
Classes start and end at the indicated times.
Bring basic sewing supplies to each class. This includes but is not limited to: pins, needles, paper and pencil, scissors, measuring tape, thread, thread snips, sewing machine and accessories.
Feel free to bring a snack or sack lunch if necessary.

If you are a teacher and have a class you think will be good, you can stop by the store and talk to us about it. We have class proposal forms available. Since we have a flyer that comes out three times a year, classes are scheduled in advance by at least 3 months and as far away as 6 months.
Class proposals for the fall (Sept-Dec) are due on June 20.
Class proposals for the winter (Jan-Apr) are due on October 20.
Class proposals for the summer (May-Aug) are due on February 20.
